Ridley Scott teases Blade Runner 2 will answer our big question

According to Ridley Scott, the much-talked-about sequel to Blade Runner
is definitely happening=E2=80"and he's hinting that it will answer the
one question that fans of the first film have been debating for 30
years.
That question, of course, is whether Deckard (Harrison Ford) is a
replicant, and when asked by Metro UK=A0 whether the sequel is actually
moving forward, Scott says:
It's not a rumour—it's happening. With Harrison Ford? I don't know
yet. Is he too old? Well, he was a Nexus-6 so we don't know how long he
can live [laughs]. And that's all I'm going to say at this stage.
Did Sir Ridley just give away the answer right there? The guys at Rope
Of Silicon=A0 seem to think so, and as their video evidence (see below)
shows, the director has shared his belief before that the detective was
in fact a replicant.
But up until now, that's just been Scott's interpretation—the
beauty of Blade Runner is that it is open to many different ones. Yet
here is Scott hinting that the sequel itself may address the issue
explicitly by bringing up how long Deckard can live if he's not human.
Do you think that's what is going on in this interview? More
importantly, do you really want to know the answer, or would you prefer
to have Deckard's true nature kept ambiguous?
